I began practicing yoga 5 years ago, at home using DVD’s. At the time, it was purely a part of my fitness routine, little did I know it would become a passion! Soon after graduating college and starting my career as a Dental Hygienist, my co-worker mentioned I should try yoga as she found it helped her relax. As someone who has dealt with anxiety throughout life, I was intrigued and started a trial at a local studio. I slowly began to see yoga as more than just a workout.
Yoga helped bring me into the present moment. Not worrying about my to do list in the future or wishing something could have been different in the past. All I had to do was breath. All we ever have is now, and all we have to do is breath! (Okay.. and maybe the grocery shopping).
Almost four years later, I’m now a 200-Hour Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher. Yoga continues to help me grow, on and off my mat. My goal is to inspire you to do the same! No matter where you are in life, you can do yoga. I promise there is a yoga for you, and I hope to help you find it.
